Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of the Port City Distribution (“PCD”) website and its application form. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Separate written agreements govern carrier relationships and independent-contractor engagements. Where one of those agreements conflicts with these terms, that agreement controls.

The site describes our services, our markets and our operating standards. The operating standards published on the Fleet page are the standards we commit to operating by; they are not a guarantee of any particular result for any particular shipment, and they do not amend any contract. Market and staffing information is provided for general information and changes over time.

Nothing on the site is an offer of employment or a promise of any amount of work.

• Drivers engage with PCD as independent contractors, not employees.
• Submitting the pre-qualification form does not guarantee a phone screen, an engagement or any amount of work.
• You agree that what you submit is true and complete. Inaccurate information can end an application or an engagement.
• Typing your name where the form asks for a signature is your electronic signature, and you agree it has the same effect as a handwritten one.
• Moving forward requires eligibility, licence, motor-vehicle-record, insurance and background checks that you will be asked to authorize.

Program: Port City Distribution applicant and driver messages. If you opt in on the application, we text you about your application, scheduling, next steps and work-related updates.

• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to cancel at any time. You will receive one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages unless you opt in again.
• Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.
• Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.

• Do not submit false applications or apply on behalf of someone else without their permission.
• Do not probe, scrape, overload or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or the systems behind it.
• Do not use the site for anything unlawful.

The PCD name, logos, text, illustrations and design are ours. You may view and share links to the site; you may not copy or reuse its content commercially without our written permission.

The site is provided “as is.” We work to keep it accurate and available but do not warrant that it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, PCD is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
